Red Lake Schools

Parents/Guardians, Please be aware that Pertussis (Whooping cough) is going around in the Red Lake communities. Whooping cough is a respiratory infection. Whooping cough is highly contagious and is most harmful to babies. If your child is feeling sick or has the following symptoms, (fever, cough, runny nose, dry or sore throat, loud coughing that ends with a “whooping sound”), please call your provider or bring them to the walk-in clinic. Whooping Cough is VERY contagious. We do not want anyone who is sick passing it along to others while in school. Once a child has been given the proper medication, they may return to school after 48 hours. Our Final 6th Grade Family Fun Day Event at Red Lake Middle School is coming up on Tuesday, April 30th! This is your last chance to join your 6th grader for games and activities. Event will be taking place at RLMS from 1:30pm-3:00pm. See you there!

The Documentary "Through the Storms", created about RLHS' football team & Nolan Desjarlait will be showing FOR FREE at the Bemidji Theater this Saturday and Sunday! You are invited to come enjoy the show at no cost. See attached photo for more info.

Reminder that today, Friday, April 5, Kindergarten Registration will be from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Red Lake Elementary Complex. There will be breakfast provided for families in the morning and lunch in the afternoon. There will be no school for PK and Kindergarten students on Friday, April 5 due to Kindergarten Registration. Each incoming kindergarten student that attends will receive a goodie bag and a tshirt. Please enter in through Door 6. We will also have bouncy houses set up in the gym. As part of our Educational Support Staff Appreciation Week, we want to recognize our awesome principals located at each of our schools. You are the best of the best and we appreciate you!!

Reminder for all Red Lake Schools students and families: there is no school tomorrow, Monday, April 1. We hope that you are enjoying your extra long weekend, and we will see you back at school on Tuesday!

Due to ongoing snow, wind, and slippery road conditions, Red Lake School District will be delayed by 90 minutes tomorrow, March 27th. Schools will be running a "Monday" schedule for one more morning. Miigwech!

For today's e-learning day (March 26th), there will not be a 9am session this morning due to the late start. Sessions will be held at 11am and 1pm today.
