Red Lake Secondary School will be holding a healing ceremony on Thursday of this week. The healing ceremony will allow us to take a moment to breath and support each other during this difficult time for our community with the loss of two young children, the 19-year anniversary of the 2005 tragedy, the recent loss of several teenagers in addition to the many other struggles of grief and loss that are a part of daily life. Students who do not wish to attend, may be excused from attending the ceremony. All students are expected to attend regular school.

The Ponemah bus will leave at 3:30pm from Ponemah and the Red Lake Bus will leave at 4:00 from Red Lake. Authors Karen M. Greenwald, Nancy Churnin, and Hilary Margitich are celebrating Women’s History Month and Read Across America by facilitating shipments of NEW donated books to Red Lake Schools. They are partnering with the Reader-to-Reader program. After books arrive over spring and summer, they will be distributed to our libraries and classrooms. Miigwech to these generous donors!

Just a few days away from cheering on our Warriors! Thursday, March 7 is the Boys Basketball Game vs. Bagley Flyers. Doors open at 6pm. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students. Due to the nature of this being a tournament game, there will not be any free passes available. All attendants of the game, including elders, will be expected to pay. Miigwech! See you at the game!
